Date: 2018-07-31 03:29 am (UTC)C obviously likes B! Clicked on the whole liar act, saw that he's far more genuine than he lets on, etc. But that sort of vague fondness has gone up steadily. At first it was rising respect for B continuing to do his thing despite how B's constant PRing clearly wears on him and he's so tired. He's also extremely soft!! And vaguely worried about a bad performance breaking him, but B's been real impressive keeping his shit together. So in that regard alone his respect for B is pretty high, and he's one of the few people C will actively listen to, even if he doesn't fully agree at times. See: continuing to make an Attempt with HSS.
But that aside, he's actually growing friendly with B! He knew they were alike in some ways but it's been a breath of fresh air to just, sit with him at times and just GOSSIP. Talk about how cute Gold is, mean girl a bit, plan little game nights, stuff like that. It's just a bit of side fluff but something C didn't realize he sorely needed. Of course he enjoys their Lives together, but that's WORK, and this is just...chill. He can lower the mask slightly because he knows B won't prod him, and that's all he really asks.
That said he obviously isn't above using B's adorableness to his advantage. See: the whole Maiden shenanigans. But he'd never do anything to purposely put B in harm's way, and now it's not only because he's AlcheME's hottest commodity but moreso because he genuinely cares. Like he told Whiskey, he'd understand why anyone would flip out if B was hurt, himself included. He has definitely developed some actual Big Brother instincts toward B, despite acting like a brat half the time, but he does make an effort to keep an eye on who gets close to him and who could be bad news. Doesn't plan on intruding really but, there's C, always Watching a bit.
SO YEA, SOCIAL LINK UP, C WOULD--well he may or may not die for B that's still up in the air. WOULD TRY VERY HARD NOT TO LET YOU DIE or just let both of them die idk.
AS FOR BEST DAY EVER..........honestly ICly he;; he really doesn't know. He's On so much that whenever he's not presenting to someone he's mostly in his room laying down or noting stuff, just to get away from things and have some quiet stillness.
But probably a day with Gold, Silver, B, 9, and hell even Intensity, maybe just playing a game and having some snacks and then they have a Bad End live and wreck some shit for fun. For as elaborate as he presents himself he's really down for the more simple pleasures in life.

This is mostly because Kuzuebiko has indulged him and the first way to get on C's radar is to give him plenty of attention. AND HE SURE IS GETTING THAT. So far he reminds C of a more. . .noble? Less intense version of Intensity almost, only more accepting of the world as it is. And that's fine by C!!
He got a big bump in ranking for attempting to cheer up C; he wasn't forceful or tried to get out an emotion he's just like SUP HERE'S A TV I GUESS. Who does that?? This weirdo apparently, and C likes it. He was also vaguely worried Taisho would blacklist him given Maki's memory but hey, maybe not? So he appreciates the gesture.

Date: 2018-07-31 11:33 am (UTC)C is just the right level of abrasive that Kuzuebiko is able to be at ease with him. He's from a canon where basically everyone is some level of raging asshole or deeply dysfunctional, so he takes a lot of C's being ridiculous or aggravating in stride, and it enables him to not feel under pressure in interacting with him. There's no pressure to like, perform properly in the way he, for instance was told off by Hiryuu for constantly looking down on others with his complaining, or that he's aware of the distance between him and Maki when she was irritated with him early on. That sort of thing doesn't change the way he behaves, but it does make him aware he's disliked and aggravates him even if he won't admit it and makes him more likely to be stiff and distant because >( fuck showing weakness. HE'S PROPER AND COMPOSED AT ALL TIMES!!
with C nah he can roll with it and bitch about this fucking clearly not invisible horse, which paradoxically means he's actually way more likely to be able to listen to C and actually connect with him because he isn't automatically on the defense. He's got a bad personality and does actively treasure the connections he's able to make, since in canon he comes from a fairly isolated background and while in imeeji he doesn't have the same baggage, he does have a large lack of connection to people other than. uh. people he is just projecting attachment on because they're pretty. C is not in that category, so Kuzuebiko is able to like, see him as real person and make motions towards casual friendship.
He's also got the kind of personality Kuzuebiko gets along well with in general, judging by uh. his canon compulsive liar edgelord kouhai who he fucking adores.

Date: 2018-08-01 11:09 am (UTC)So he's kind of bitterly decided that well if I'm gonna be merchandise I'm gonna literally stay an empty shell so I can die without regret or attachment!! He thinks it'll make it easier on him mentally when the time comes when they're taken out (since of course he has no idea death ISN'T permanent here).
Maki remembering him twice is also driving this home, since he also suspects their memories are just bait for them to form attachments and biases and enemies, so nope!! This also falls in line with canon where he's suspicious of their memories being false and leading them on, so doesn't take too much stock in them (though in Imeeji he's pretty sure the memories are legit).
I'll turn that other question on YOU, what's a game you super want to see that you want someone else to run so you can participate in it proper?

The softer variant of Mary's Auction (second run) would also be fun. Oh! Mary's Confessional game! I never ran it, but I wrote it, and I'd want to see it run. This thing! Nahri's ridiculous Vote Correctly war room variant from AFD, mostly because I like how fucking stupid being told to Vote Correctly is, and the punishments for not doing so. It's like a lighter Mukuro game.
Most non-trauma games I like I can play in even if I am running, like titleswap... hm. Princess game or like, paintball IC or something might be fun since we have an
IRCdiscord dicebot so there's no problem doing rolls for action. Speed dating.Heart Games also at some point probably but hopefully I would not be running everyone else's hearts ever, that would be hella weird.

All not necessarily BAD things but things someone like C can easily target in and rile up when he feels like it. Much potential for blowing up! Even way back after their first fight, he'd been narrowing A down as a 'Liability' and willingly lowered his teasing a bit, though of course he'd never stop. He still liked him, in a way. He's like a cat trying to act all cool but flips its shit at a cucucmber.
THEN THEIR SECOND BLOW UP which C Did Not Appreciate. Honestly if A had just continued to zero on on him re: memories he would have fessed up, but A took the bait and made it about his pride instead. C thought that would be the end of it but A actually dealt a low blow saying how disgusted he was by C. Because despite being wary of him, C liked him! Not as much as others, but gd A is their dumb cat. NOT SO MUCH NOW. It plummeted his opinion down to near zero and cemented A as a Problem for AlcheME. Probably would not sabotage him in a game ,but would not make a big deal if his portrait was suddenly greyed out 8')
This also spurred C to make more of an effort to befriend Maki because HOW DARE A NOT LIKE ME??? HOW DARE! I'LL BE HIS FRIENDS' FRIEND INSTEAD. WE'LL BE BEST FUCKING FRIENDS!!! so yes he's just as petty as A lets be real.
FAST FORWARD TO DAY 20 and C has mellowed out a bit, partially thanks to B reeling in his assholeishness cuz otherwise he would have told A immediately about Oni just to relish in the ensuing blow up. AS IT IS NOW....it's less entertaining and more eye rolling to him, and he sees it as an unnecessary thorn in their relationship to Bad End.
But! With A actually approaching them, he's willing to give A another chance. He will not ever truly Trust A for a long while but is attempting to be straight with him--he's not sure if anything will come of it, because as far as he can see A's sights are still on Boss and everything he does is because of him. The gesture will pass and he'll be fighting with Boss soon enough again, he thinks.
SO YEA THINKS, VERY VERY LOWLY OF A RIGHT NOW. Still will try to help or just get him laid, whatever comes first. Is jealous that Maki actually gets along with him. REVERSE.

Date: 2018-07-31 02:23 pm (UTC)So it was pretty much inevitable that things would go very bad, and A was very pleased with the outcome of their last fight, as he felt like he "won" it. If he can't get an apology and he can't get revenge, at least he can make C hate him as much as the reverse is true!!

But now he's pretty much freaking out. In much the same way Jeva is playing Joker as being worried about what other people think until he remembers his awakening, Akechi will be terrified of losing control until he remembers his. So he's trying to convince himself, THIS IS OK, I CAN HANDLE THIS, I WILL JUST GET MY ENTIRE LIFE UNDER CONTROL AND THEN I WILL BE FINE. So he's starting with his home life. A very large part of it is that C is way too good at pushing his buttons - it is much easier to raise the white flag than it is live in dread of his own home, the only place he feels safe to be even slightly his real self.
In a weird way there's a certain freedom to not liking one another. In our current thread it's not like he's actually expecting C to comfort him, but he can be as raw and honest as he wants because who cares what C thinks? C's already got enough bullying material for the next century, so there are no real consequences. Also, he is actually listening to what C is saying a little, because C won't sugar coat things for him like he knows B does (though he does not grok the actual extent to which that is true, even a little).
Though he is a little surprised and relieved that C's not being a dick about it. The lack of trust is mutual but. This isn't going badly? Yet? This is definitely more positive that he's been about C for awhile.

Date: 2018-07-31 04:22 am (UTC)BUT GOLD WAS JUST...REAL CHILL ABOUT IT? So C's like well shit okay HERE'S MY NEW KNIGHT, I GUESS. He doesn't even remember being a gang leader or anything yet so it was purely accidental, and Gold's compliance is really what spurred him to continue to pick up new minions in a similar manner.
Anyway since Gold also indulged C with attention that also immediately began to shoot him up in the ranks. Who wants attention IT'S C, GIVE C THE ATTENTION NOW. And Gold's deadpan humor and relaxed demeanor played well off C's projected energy, and eventually it became a game to C to see how much he can get away with or what kind of reaction he can pull out of Gold. ENTERTAINMENT FOR HOURS.
That said, Gold isn't a pushover! He's direct and honest, traits C secretly appreciates in most people. He also has a MISCHIEVOUS, SASSY STREAK which surprised C a lot, and it's those times paired with Gold's honesty that he manages to fluster C. How dare you be so genuine and snarky, s t o p. It's endearing and C hates it, since as much as he likes Gold, he has no intention on getting attached to people here since he's convinced they will all die or be sold off at any given moment.
BUT WELP TOO BAD, HE'S ATTACHED NOW.
He adores Gold now and is content to have what he might consider a friend. It's vague and up in the air, as he tries not to say that to people because of said paranoia of the fleetingness of their lives. Gold is also on the short list of people he actually respects and values their opinion, since aside from volleyball, Gold's got a pretty rational head on his shoulders.
That said, he also recognizes that Gold is just, just a normal dude man!! And the stress of this place can be pretty heavy, so he's always on board with B to spoil him, and willing to drag himself on the court to play a dumb game just to cheer him up a bit. That's how much he likes Gold, he's willing to sweat. BE GRATEFUL.
Speaking of B, he is Very Aware of how friendly he and Gold are, and would not be too surprised if they hook up. In fact, it's in his interests. TWO OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE TOGETHER MEANS I CAN STALK THEM EASIER!!! That said he will still take photos of Gold and Silver without their shirts because B and C are tiny gays and love to gossip and judge.

Date: 2018-08-03 05:19 am (UTC)Honestly, at the start Gold swearing in as C's knight was just a way to get some points and live up to this whole 'loyal knight' theme for vids. He was in a place where he was trying to figure out how to do the vid traits for Avante and C came by and it was like 'well ok sure why not'. But let's do this temp first because he had no idea who C was and the sort of things he'd expect of him.
As time went on and the temporary partnership continued... Gold found C to be alright! Nothing he did or said or asked for seemed particularly bothersome for Gold, so he went along with it. Actually, it worked really great for him, because he participated in a lot more lives than he would have if he hadn't met C (mostly because C and B. do a lot of lives). He did recognize that having a 'in' with one of the more popular teams was a good thing he should maintain, but mostly he found C easy to get along with and that's what kept him in the partnership. I have said before somewhere that Gold does really well with people who push him in one way or another and C fits that mold perfectly, without doing things that would have made Gold dislike him (ie actually insulting him, that would have gone terribly by Gold).
To Gold, C is a high amount of energy wrapped around someone who lets his... curiosity/desire to push buttons get the better of him at times. Which really, he just needs to be pulled back from sometimes. He can see why some people find C annoying or call him gremlin, that is a lot of energy and he seems to enjoy getting into things, but Gold does not at all believe that C is a bad person, just has some bad habits. A lot of this is influenced by that oath they took; that C added in a clause where it wasn't just a one-sided relationship really stood out to Gold that C cares and obvs for him to do that means C's a good person in there. It just really meant a lot to him to have someone care about him like that. At this point it would definitely lower his opinion of someone if they said they thought C was a bad person.
At this point Gold genuinely likes C, and 100% thinks of him as a close friend. C, B, and Silver are Gold's top 3 who all fluctuate around in rank depending on who is being best boy and who is being a bad for the day. MAKING HIM PICK BETWEEN THEM WAS RUDE, but after everything, Gold wants to take his oath very seriously and will put C first when it comes to decision making. He also really wants to see C happy and enjoying himself and if he wants to get crazy sometimes well okay, he can do that so long as he's not really hurting anyone... Just can't fail the lord, gotta be a good knight!
Long story short, C is actually a really good lord and friend for Gold no matter how many faces he makes at him at times and Gold would very much knight for him while also going along with his schemes and calling him cute (C is cute even when he makes terrible faces, Gold has resigned himself to this thought).

Date: 2018-08-04 05:48 am (UTC)The short end of it is that no, he does not really do romance! Is he capable of it? IF...HE FEELS LIKE IT? He absolutely plays with it! He's flirty, loves being fawned over, and loves getting a rise out of people. The problem comes from him being unable to engage with people unless they work hard to break through his mask, and the fact that he has so much other shit he needs to deal with first.
In canon he is second to only one character when it comes to making raunchy jokes or talking about hooking up and such, and will tease others once he realizes they are getting close and personal with each other! HE LOVES IT.
But for himself though he deliberately keeps himself at a distance. He becomes increasingly fond of the game's protag and said protag (Shuichi) is canonically his Ideal! But whenever he spends time with him Ouma's mind is on the fact that THEY ARE IN A MURDER GAME. So while he's playful and seemingly goofing off, most of the time he's throwing hints at the protag that HEY, HERE'S SOME STUFF TO GET YOU THROUGH SOME BAD SHIT COMING. Romance just...isn't his priority half the time.
That said he still ADORES the attention! He will get Shuichi to just hang around doing bullshit or lie about petty things or STAB HIS OWN HAND just to get Shuichi to fuss over him. But he still has that Wall up. In the Dating Sim mode of the game, Shuichi still learns...........nothing about him, even if he chooses to Graduate with Ouma, with Ouma being like "well if you REALLY want to learn anything about me, let's keep this going after we get out of here :)"
There's also the fact that while he bounces back fast, if his trust gets betrayed Ouma will shut himself off and try to do things on his own/accept his role as being a loner. After some Bad Shit goes down later in the game, Shuichi tells Ouma he has no friends and no one wants him around. After that moment, Ouma's friendship/social link is locked out completely lol.
ALL THAT SAID, we do know that canonically his favorite fantasy is him as a famous Phantom Thief being chased by his rival/love, a COOL HANDSOME DETECTIVE. He loves the chase more than anything but admits to wanting to be caught and roughed up among other things.
But again it's. . .him, and he cockblocks himself in his own fantasies. He's one of only two characters that willingly leave the fantasy, even after pinning Shuichi to the bed. Welp!! He's just got other shit to do.
AS FOR IMEEJI IN PARTICULAR, I'd be very, very surprised if someone managed to wear C down to get him thinking real romantic thoughts. Like, he would smooch almost everyone here with no question, but not really have any emotional connection behind it. He's too worried about their reputation, the nature of Imeeji, the hosts, games, etc. He also does not want to be a romantic hot mess like Boss and A, yikes.
SO YEA TL;DR, COULD C DO ROMANCE? SURE!! Is it likely to happen? haHA good fucking luck. He's got more important shit to worry about.

Date: 2018-08-04 04:55 am (UTC)C doesn't dislike Hiryuu! He tends to secretly like straight forward types a lot actually, as he doesn't actually like it when others lie (and has a kneejerk reaction to PULL OUT THEIR TRUTH in the most asshole ways at times).
That said! Lately Hiryuu has been on thin ice with him!! At first he was warming up a bit to her, especially after their talk post the Maiden live. He appreciated her just wanting to talk and she even apologized to him. He also appreciated her being honest and not agreeing to be his subordinate just to win brownie points. All admirable things!!
But after that he took two steps back; mostly because he thinks Hiryuu sees him more as a Project than a person, always trying to figure him out. While of course that puts him on edge because he's a very guarded person, it's also just frustrating to him when he does, secretly, really want to make connections despite how hard he tries not to. So there's a constant undercurrent of being annoyed at her for not just accepting him as he is. JUST LET ME BE A EMPTY BROKEN DOLL, HIRYUU. There's nothing to be figured out!! So everytime she prods, he just wants to put up another wall.
He views the rest of HSS in a same way though Hurricane is slightly placed higher than the others, since he's more likely to just be himself and not try to poke at C's boundaries. For Hiryuu though at this point he's mostly making an attempt because B asked him to do so, and he does want to preserve the HSS alliance even if he has little to no emotional connection with them.
SO YEA, THINK SHE'S A SWEET GIRL but also get off my back, gosh!!

Like yes she is concerned about him, and she would like him to be able to express himself, but that doesn't mean she sees him as broken or a thing to FIX. She would be really insulted by that. Literally, everything that she said about wanting to see a real expression from him was just saying she wanted him to be honest with her instead of feeling like he has to pretend. Pretending is tiresome, and grating! But neither pretending at being happy nor being inwardly terrified and angry make him broken or in need of fixing. And also, since he's always pretending--she feels like whatever emotional responses she's actually having, they're not "real" because the face that he's showing her isn't real. She wants to know how she should ACTUALLY feel about him. She wants to know, if they do actually become friends, and if he's actually supposed to be allies with him--is this someone she really would want to be friends with? She's talked about it some with Phoenix but honestly she just hopes that they have some way to let off steam... him and B and E.

The goal of him utterly refusing memories was so that if something bad happened, he felt that he could take it a lot better so long as he had no real attachment to anything here, or anything in the past. He is not optimistic about their lives in Imeeji, and expects that they could all be killed at a moment's notice. MIGHT AS WELL DIE WITHOUT REGRETS CUZ I CAN'T REMEMBER THEM.
But Maki remembers him! And Maki's from some weird murder world?? Not what he wants to hear!! This also comes directly after his second blow up with A who was prodding him about not taking memories, and C continues to lie to Maki about that too. Before that, A's argument is also what propels him in wanting to befriend her more, just to spite A lol. Later he finally admitted the lack of memories to B (who already had guessed of course), and so he's just, constantly annoyed by it.
BUT THEN THE ASSASSIN MEMORY. Like he said, he's....not the least bit surprised by their interaction. Like, given what has gone on in game, THAT WAS FOR SURE ,HOW THEY BOTH WOULD REACT. Maki strangling someone and him being an asshole and calling her out, yep, he...he sure did that his first week here to A.
What actually bothers him is that he's been trying to be so careful about his rep! He's been made very aware that he is an asshole, and has been trying to purposely play up the innocent prankster act instead. People don't like assholes right?? I'LL JUST BE A CLOWN, THATS AN EASY MASK. And Maki's memory...was just a bit slap of a reminder and has him slightly worried for future memories to come.
Out of frustration he tried to turn the tables on Maki and have her slip up and prove his point about memories (saying they form biases, that she clearly would not trust him or be his friend, etc). He wanted to get her to say it! But!!! SHE DIDN'T?? And not in the fake 'oh no we'll always be friends' way, she was still Maki, still blunt and straight forward, but still wiling to make an attempt to connect with him, despite everything. That threw him off and triggered his retreat. Again.
SO YEAH HE'S VERY WORRIED AND INSECURE just how much she'll remember and how much he actually plays a role. These are all from her perspective of course, so he has no idea what's going through his head, aside from some guesses at basic lines of logic (Murder game = killer hiding in plain sight = SEEMS LEGIT TO REVEAL THEM, OKAY ME). But Maki is still willing to make things work so he's just, a mess and just going to try to continue on like things were before.

Backing up a bit he was like 'YES GOT HIM' when Whisky officially took the minion offer, tho his headspace back then was more so 'AHAHA ANOTHER KNIFE CITY THAT HOPEFULLY WON'T KNIFE US!!11' rather than hooray I got a friend. ('''friend''')
But the quickest way to get C on your side is to keep paying attention to him and WHISKY DID THAT, even while extorting him for points!! But honestly that made C like him even more just like yo!! LOOK AT THIS GUY, USING ME AS A BUSINESS TRANSACTION, THAT'S SOME SMART SHIT. Also he really wanted to turn into an animal okay that got Whisky like a billion points. Really if Whisky had quit a this point, C would have continued to hound him, just out of finding him interesting and for the satisfaction and pride of getting him to come around briefly.
But fast forward to betrayal!! At first I thought C was gonna be REAL PISSED but then it was all ~a dream~ aside from the mental trauma lol. And B is C's most important person here right now!! So he was very lowkey upset over the whole thing but then Whisky asked if he should apologize?? Granted he was prompted by his teammates but that made C slow down a bit and just be like naaaah. The fact that EVERYONE WAS OFF THEIR ROCKERS also helped, as did Whisky's reassurance that he would not actually hurt Alcheme if given the choice. So that reaffirmed some peace of mind and was what C had set out to do in the first place via recruiting him, anyway.
That combined with just other silly things--the vid, being a MOUSE--Whisky's earned a solid place on C's metaphorical shelves of important shit. He's genuinely likes him! And just like his other minions he's pretty much willing to do whatever it takes to keep them happy within reason. Like recruiting Lucifel for example, he figures Whisky just wanted more time to spend with the guy, so why the fuck not. He also thought it was cute seeing Whisky deny he had actual feelings for Lucifel hurhur.
THEN TO PRESENT DAY. I've sort of handwave that C sees anyone's memory that explicitly makes them public so he's probably seen any you put out for Whisky that I was too lazy to jump oops. So like!! He is/was still very mmmmmmm concerned about Whisky's history but doesn't like touching on it. He still has zero memories so he doesn't know about his own anti-violence way of thinking, but he's also just, naturally not one to be down with that. BUT THAT ALL SAID he's finding himself sure hanging out with a lot of violently prone people, haha, alcheme!1 And since he genuinely finds Whisky interesting/endearing, he can't help but be curious about all horrible stuff that keeps popping up memory wise, even though he can't truly be sympathetic about it since whisky's killin shit in half of them.
But even so!! He sees Whisky as logical and upfront first and foremost so like he said in the thread, he...gets it? Thinks its FUCKED UP but he gets it. Whisky ain't like a beserker or a Junko so shit he's just this fucked up dude that's not truly malicious, at the moment anyway. IDK THE CANON SO WHO KNOWS, MAYBE THE DUDE JUST GOES OFF, its mystery to me.
After that talk C's a lot more comfortable about the whole thing. He doesn't actually want to so much change Whisky now but is generally invested in his well being. He is also going to keep putting up the front that he's a super cruel overlord!! if only because he just can not stand anyone calling him out, Whisky or otherwise. On the flipside though, I don't think he'd actually go to Whisky for advice on certain topics/issues knowing how his logic works but then again when has C/Ouma confided in anyone ever, oops.
SO AT THIS POINT HE'S LIKE this is my weird but cool cat minion he probably won't stab you and actually he's.......okay he's not a GOOD guy but he's decent and funny and Trying and that's all that counts for C, honestly.

ONI IS TBD BECAUSE C HAS BEEN AVOIDING BAD END LIKE THE PLAGUE YALL GOT SOME ISSUES but I plan on throwing him back at them soon!!! For first impressions though, chill guy? CHILL ADULT? Probably kinda slutty but hey that's how Bad End rolls!! C does NOT like not being able to get a read on people so his CSR face through him for a loop and he hates it thanks.
